Chrome and mirror finishes deliver the low-roughness, high-luster surfaces required for optical films, reflective coatings, and applications where any surface irregularity transfers directly to the product.

Precision Backed by Inspection
Every industrial roll finishing project at Roll Technology includes detailed inspection at arrival and before shipment. We document diameter, total indicated runout (TIR), chrome thickness, and surface roughness measurements using Pro-Mic profiling systems and Keyence laser measurement equipment, accurate to ten millionths of an inch. This data ships with your roll so your team can verify that the finished surface meets specifications before it goes into the line.

Grinding, polishing, grit blasting and shot peening are techniques we use to fit custom finishing specifications to individual applications. One of the most popular finishes is the Matte surface finish — used mostly on heat transfer rolls to impart a surface finish for a non-gloss appearance. A Satin finish has a silvery tone in appearance, reproducing a roughness produced into the base metal, followed by a thin layer of hard chromium.
